  Navratri Lok Katha - Jai Maa Durga कौशल देश में सुशील नामक का एक निर्धन ब्राह्मण रहता था। प्रतिदिन मिलने वाली भिक्षा से वह अपने परिवार का भरण-पोषण करता था। उसके कई बच्चे थे। प्रातःकाल वह भिक्षा लेने घर से निकलता और सायंकाल लौट आता था। देवताओं, पितरों और अतिथियों की पूजा करने के बाद आश्रितजन को खिलाकर ही वह स्वयं भोजन ग्रहण करता था। इस प्रकार भिक्षा को वह भगवान का प्रसाद समझकर स्वीकार करता था। इतना दुःखी होने पर भी वह दूसरों की सहायता के लिए सदैव तत्पर रहता था। यद्यपि उसके मन में अपार चिंता रहती थी, तथापि वह सदैव धर्म-कर्म में लगा रहता था। अपनी इन्द्रियों पर उसका पूर्ण नियंत्रण था। वह सदाचारी, धर्मात्मा और सत्यवादी था। उसके हृदय में कभी क्रोध, अहंकार और ईर्ष्या जैसे तुच्छ विकार उत्पन्न नहीं होते थे। एक बार उसके घर के निकट सत्यव्रत नामक एक तेजस्वी ऋषि आकर ठहरे। वे एक प्रसिद्ध तपस्वी थे। मंत्रों और विद्याओं का ज्ञाता उनके समान आस-पास दूसरा कोई नहीं था। शीघ्र ही अनेक व्यक्ति उनके दर्शनों को आने लगे। सुशील के हृदय में भी उनसे मिलने की इच्छा जागृत हुई और वह उनकी सेवा में उपस्थित हुआ। स...
